Designed for dental graduates pursuing prosthodontics specialization, this three-year Professional Doctorate Programme prepares dentists for careers as clinical specialists or academic researchers. The comprehensive curriculum combines clinical practice with academic study and research, aligning with FHEQ level 8 standards and meeting GDC(UK) Specialist Curriculum requirements. This full-time DClinDent degree serves as excellent preparation for both academic pathways and clinical specialization in prosthodontics, potentially leading to Membership in Prosthodontics from The Royal College of Surgeons.
The program features rigorous clinical training, structured coursework, and a guided research component. While all clinical and taught modules are mandatory, students enjoy some flexibility in selecting research topics, provided they align with our established research priorities.
Applicants must have a primary qualification in Dentistry (BDS or equivalent). Two years full time post qualification clinical practice of dentistry including evidence of specific relevant experience in prosthodontic care is also required. You need a minimum IELTS score of 7.0 at the point of submission of your application. TOEFL minimum score 100 overall with 21 in Writing, 19 in Reading, 18 in Listening and 21 in Speaking
