This program is collaboratively taught by Queen Mary University of London's Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry alongside the School of Biological and Behavioural Sciences, combining the key strengths of both departments. You'll learn from top specialists across all fields while gaining access to both schools' laboratories, IT facilities, and library resources. The curriculum establishes a solid grounding in biomedical sciences, encompassing neuroanatomy, physiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, and pharmacology. During your final year, you can select specialized modules focusing on stem cells, neural repair and regeneration, or insights into neurological conditions. Senior students have the opportunity to conduct independent lab research or join an established research team at Queen Mary. A neuroscience degree offers excellent preparation for medical or dental careers, covering diverse biomedical topics.
Expand your horizons by studying overseas as part of your degree—consider applying for our Neuroscience BSc with a Year Abroad option. Queen Mary maintains partnerships with institutions across Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia (available programs vary by degree).
