This accredited MSc Chemistry program offers flexible study options: complete it in one year full-time, or choose the MSc Chemistry (Professional Practice) route with an additional year-long work placement.
Our commitment to excellence ensures instruction by distinguished faculty - our Chemistry department includes award-winning specialists in organic, inorganic, physical, and analytical chemistry.
You'll learn from globally recognized pharmaceutical and medicinal science experts while gaining practical experience with advanced equipment such as: NMR spectrometers, mass spectrometers, TEM, SEM, and HPLC systems. The curriculum includes four core modules, two electives, and a research component. Part-time students complete these requirements over two years.
Industry professionals from Vectura and other institutions contribute to course content through guest lectures. Instruction combines conventional classroom methods with hands-on laboratory work and research projects.
Full-time students can pursue research projects within Nottingham Trent University's chemistry groups or with our industry/academic partners, while part-time students typically conduct research at their current workplace.
