An MChem program offers a distinct approach to education, focusing on advanced chemistry concepts and hands-on research. What makes it special? You'll dedicate an entire year to a research project, gaining not just valuable experience but also the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking chemical discoveries. By graduation, you'll have developed the expertise and competencies needed to excel in professional or academic settings.

The MChem provides an additional year to elevate your chemistry understanding to Master's degree standards. During your final year, you'll tackle graduate-level coursework while enhancing your research capabilities through an intensive year-long project conducted alongside our chemistry faculty. Become part of our vibrant research community by participating in regular seminars, where you'll learn about cutting-edge chemistry developments from NTU academics and international experts. These events often feature industry leaders discussing current trends and innovations.

For those seeking practical experience, you can incorporate a professional placement into your third year. Your academic progress continues during this placement, with certain courses delivered through digital platforms. This structure allows you to complete your MChem degree within the standard four-year timeframe.
