This integrated foundation degree serves as a stepping stone to our BSc (Hons) Zoology program upon successful completion of the preparatory year.

Our foundation years provide an alternative pathway to bachelor's degrees for students who don't yet meet standard entry requirements. This initial year bridges the gap to higher education, helping you adapt to university-level study. Expect to build essential academic skills, gain confidence in solving complex problems, and become a more independent learner. You'll graduate from this foundational year fully equipped for the exciting challenges of degree-level study. Based at our picturesque Brackenhurst Campus, this hands-on program features extensive fieldwork, lab sessions, interactive classes, and opportunities to explore your interests. The campus itself serves as a living laboratory, with diverse habitats including woodlands, hedgerows, ponds, and streams offering countless learning opportunities.

Zoology is a comprehensive field covering animal physiology, genetics, evolutionary biology, ecology, behavior studies, and more. It's truly a unique undergraduate experience where you'll collaborate with passionate peers and learn from dedicated lecturers. The program is designed to provide you with a respected science qualification from NTU. Beyond earning your degree, you'll open doors to rewarding careers in wildlife conservation, research, environmental consulting, science education, and other exciting fields.
