Delve into the mysteries of human nature, the essence of life, and the reasons behind our behaviors.

This program invites you to examine human existence, brain functions, and the psychological processes behind thoughts, emotions, and actions—along with how psychological research and therapy can create meaningful change for individuals and communities.

Learn from our distinguished faculty of 150+ psychology experts in one of the UK's largest Psychology departments, with access to cutting-edge labs for your research and data analysis.

Our instruction comes from internationally renowned scholars, as recognized by the 2021 Research Excellence Framework (REF). Every course includes practical experience, and we provide guidance for placements or work opportunities. Through sandwich years or integrated support, you'll apply your knowledge in real-world settings. Participate in exciting UK and international experiences like field trips and summer schools, or spend a year studying abroad. Career possibilities are vast—beyond psychology roles, you'll gain valuable skills in communication, critical analysis, and data interpretation that are in high demand across industries.

During the first two years, you'll cover foundational psychology topics including biological, social, developmental, and cognitive psychology, alongside conceptual history. You'll also receive comprehensive training in research methodologies and statistical analysis.

In your final year, you'll conduct an original research project on a topic of interest, guided by our expert faculty. Select from diverse optional modules to build specialized expertise.

You can also participate in the unique Professional Practice in Psychology module, tackling real-world challenges presented by external organizations and delivering research-backed solutions.
