This program focuses on the technical aspects of design, emphasizing the creation and production of products, systems, and services. It's ideal if you're fascinated by design engineering and prefer a hands-on learning experience.
We'll examine the relationship between form and function in design, fostering your creativity while delving into specialized topics such as electronics, robotics, mechatronics, materials testing, and production methods. We'll also investigate current trends like user experience (UX), smart technology, and eco-friendly design.
Through product teardowns, you'll deconstruct items to identify and improve their flaws. During site visits, you'll tackle real-world challenges set by major industry leaders, who will evaluate and provide feedback on your solutions. You may even enhance your skills through a year-long industry placement—past opportunities have included TATA, Samsung, Autodesk (San Francisco), and Hubs (Amsterdam).
This course is designed to make you a top candidate for employers. You'll graduate with an innovator's vision, an engineer's technical expertise, and a business leader's strategic mindset. This unique combination explains why our alumni land positions with renowned companies like Dyson, Tesco, PepsiCo, Disney, Unilever, and McLaren F1.
