International business refers to commercial activities (such as sales, investments, logistics, and transportation) that occur across national borders between two or more countries or regions. This field has become increasingly vital as organizations seek to strengthen their global competitiveness in today's rapidly evolving marketplace. Consequently, there's growing need for professionals with specialized international management expertise and comprehensive business acumen.
Nottingham Business School anticipated this demand through our BA (Hons) International Business program, designed to produce exceptional graduates capable of making meaningful impacts in global business and management.
Our curriculum provides in-depth knowledge of accounting, finance, cultural dynamics, marketing, logistics, and operations within international contexts and their real-world applications. As one of few UK institutions incorporating language training in such programs, we emphasize intercultural competence. Language study is mandatory in years one and two, with optional advanced language courses available in the final year. Students can also pursue UNILANG certification, giving them a competitive edge in the job market.
Given this program's global focus, international experience forms a core component. The four-year sandwich option includes overseas study and/or work opportunities, allowing students to fully immerse themselves in different cultural environments.
