Our BSc (Hons) Economics program develops the analytical abilities and expertise required for a thriving career in economics. You'll gain expertise in microeconomics, macroeconomics, corporate governance, and social responsibility throughout your studies.

Based at Newcastle Business School, you'll have the opportunity in your third year to undertake an optional industry placement, allowing you to apply classroom knowledge in professional settings while gaining valuable experience. Our students have completed placements with prestigious organizations like the Bank of England and Bloomberg LP, often leading to permanent graduate positions.

From a combination of acceptable Level 3 qualifications which may include: A-level, T Level, BTEC Diplomas/Extended Diplomas, Scottish and Irish Highers, Access to HE Diplomas, or the International Baccalaureate.
GCSE Requirements:

Applicants will need Maths, Statistics, or Physics at minimum grade 6/B and English Language at minimum grade 4/C, or equivalents.
International applicants should have a minimum overall IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 with 5.5 in each component
