The BA (Hons) in Business and Supply Chain Management offers a perfect blend of comprehensive business education with specialized training in operations and supply chain management. This program caters to students passionate about supply chain operations while equipping them with versatile business expertise. The curriculum maintains an equal 50/50 distribution between core business subjects (including finance, marketing, and HR) and specialized supply chain modules like International Operations Management, Applied Logistics, Global Logistics, Strategic Supply Chain Management, and Supply Chain Innovation. The program begins with foundational business concepts before progressively shifting focus toward advanced supply chain topics in later years. Students can enhance their experience through optional work placements, international study opportunities, or a combination of both. Final-year options include a group consultancy project in the Business Clinic, an individual management research project, or a dissertation (placement-dependent). The management research project provides hands-on experience analyzing real-world business challenges. Our curriculum is developed in collaboration with industry leaders CIPS and CILT and benefits from AACSB accreditation for Newcastle Business School.

Career readiness drives our Business programs, with every module building workplace-relevant skills. Two specialized modules—Supply Chain and Operations Study/Consultancy Skills (offering live project experience) and Preparing for Professional Practice (developing job-search competencies)—strengthen employability. Our partnership with NOVUS and CILT addresses the industry's growing talent shortage by cultivating future supply chain leaders. Northumbria's research teams and support services are committed to refining your abilities, ensuring graduates thrive professionally. Outside lectures, you can broaden your horizons through international study (EU, USA, Australia, or China) or a work placement year with our Internship Programs. The Business Clinic also provides real-client consulting experience.
