The MRes in Cardiovascular Science in Health and Disease is designed for life sciences graduates and students from other scientific backgrounds, including intercalating MBBS/BDS candidates. This program serves both as an independent qualification and as a stepping stone to PhD or MD studies.
Students craft a personalized curriculum by selecting from diverse taught modules before undertaking an intensive 24-week cardiovascular research project focused on health and disease.
The program provides specialized training in cardiovascular science while allowing students to enhance their knowledge through supplementary elective modules.
A significant portion of the course involves an extended research project, conducted under the guidance of experienced cardiovascular science researchers.
This MRes program prepares graduates for research careers in academic or industrial settings and provides strong foundations for pursuing doctoral studies.
