Prosthodontics specializes in replacing missing teeth and addressing related soft and hard tissue issues affecting people worldwide. Through dental prosthetics such as crowns, bridges, and dentures, we aim to reduce the effects of tooth loss on daily life. At Newcastle University, develop the advanced expertise, knowledge, and clinical understanding in prosthodontics needed to serve your patients effectively.
Our newly introduced MClinDent programs share a foundational focus on Restorative Dentistry. We offer three tailored pathways for dentists to develop specialized skills in: Prosthodontics, Endodontics, and Periodontics
During stage 1 of the MClinDent, all three disciplines are covered, maintaining an interdisciplinary approach as you progress through stages 2 and 3 while specializing in Prosthodontics.

The MClinDent programs align with the General Dental Council's UK specialist training curricula for Endodontics, Periodontics, or Prosthodontics, equipping students to take the Membership exams at UK Royal Colleges.

Upon completion, your clinical and academic portfolio can showcase your alignment with the GDC's specialist curriculum in Periodontics, Endodontics, or Prosthodontics for potential specialist listing. For UK specialist registration details, consult the GDC. Learn more.

Please note that finishing one of these programs does not ensure eligibility to sit Royal College exams or guarantee GDC specialist registration in the UK.
