Our three-year Psychology BSc Honours program offers a strong foundation for your professional journey. With diverse career pathways and experiential learning opportunities, you can customize your undergraduate experience. Additionally, you may apply for a placement or study abroad year after completing your first year.
Instruction draws from globally recognized research, conducted in our cutting-edge Dame Margaret Barbour building featuring specialized facilities including: a forensic interview suite, cognitive and behavioral laboratory, nutrition research unit, medical examination rooms, and psychological assessment booths.
The curriculum begins with core psychological disciplines - social, biological, cognitive, developmental psychology, research methodologies, and individual differences. As you advance, you'll specialize through elective modules reflecting our faculty's research expertise.

A-Level
AAA excluding General Studies. One science A Level is required. We include Psychology, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Statistics, and Mathematics as science A Levels. For Biology, Chemistry and Physics A Levels, we require a pass in the practical element. GCSE Mathematics, English (Language or Literature) and a science (at a minimum grade B or 6) required
International Baccalaureate
A minimum of 36 points, with three subjects at Higher Level grade 6 or above. At least two sciences at Higher Level are preferred. Mathematics or Mathematical Studies and English (Language or Literature) to be offered at Standard Level grade 5 if not offered at Higher Level. At least one third of all subjects taken must be science/mathematics.
IELTS - Applicants whose first language is not English require a minimum score of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent with no less than 6.5 in each of the four elements of the test
TOEFL iBT - 90 overall (with a minimum of 21 in listening, 22 in reading, 23 in speaking, and 22 in writing)
