This game engineering program incorporates an industry placement, providing hands-on work experience to enhance your resume.
You'll gain expertise in creating, building, and deploying software for computer games.
Discover various computing science fields like game design, bioinformatics, and cybersecurity during your initial two years.
Between your second and third years, you'll complete a paid, accredited industrial placement year.
In your final year, take specialized courses in gaming simulations and game development to refine skills for your professional path.
Our Game Engineering degrees concentrate on the technical aspects of game creation (rather than artistic components).

You'll learn to create and implement graphics software across multiple platforms, including gaming consoles, workstations, and immersive 3D environments.
The curriculum prepares you to apply these technical skills across entertainment, engineering, design, and scientific visualization fields.
Located in England's thriving game development hub, the North East offers excellent opportunities to launch your career in this dynamic industry.
