This four-year Flying Start degree offers a unique pathway to becoming a chartered accountant, featuring paid work placements at PwC. Gain a competitive edge and fast-track your journey toward ICAEW Chartered Accountant status by applying academic concepts in real-world business settings through integrated paid placements. Developed through a partnership between Newcastle University, PwC, and ICAEW, this pioneering program blends university education with hands-on experience in PwC's Audit division. You'll work toward earning the prestigious ACA qualification while receiving guidance from dedicated support teams at both the university and PwC. These experts will assist you in: acquiring essential business competencies to complete your degree, advance toward professional certification, and excel during paid placements. Successful completion may lead to a graduate position at PwC, potentially allowing you to achieve full ICAEW Chartered Accountant status approximately one year post-graduation - a remarkable career head start.

The program provides the necessary training, practical experience, and credentials to become a part-qualified chartered accountant. All graduates secured employment or further education within six months, taking on roles including chartered accountant, financial accountant, assurance senior associate, and auditor. While all 2020 graduates accepted positions at PwC, you maintain complete freedom to pursue other opportunities after graduation. Those joining PwC will enter the graduate program to finish the ICAEW ACA Advanced Level and complete any outstanding technical experience requirements.
