This combined English Literature and History program integrates innovative research from both fields. Students can customize their focus between historical and literary studies.
Throughout this dual degree, you'll collaborate with top-tier academics, exploring diverse subjects from postcolonial studies to medieval religious thought, and from Renaissance humanism to contemporary environmental activism.
Specialized modules in years two and three encourage examination of how historical and literary approaches complement each other. You'll also design original research projects incorporating your acquired knowledge.
Upon completion, graduates emerge as self-assured, well-informed, autonomous scholars with specialized research capabilities and interdisciplinary thinking skills.

AAB, including History and either English Literature or English Language and Literature. We also welcome applicants with either History or English A-levels, who will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
International Baccalaureate
34 points including History and either English Literature or English Language and Literature at Higher Level, grade 5. We also welcome applicants with either History or English at higher Level, who will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
IELTS - Applicants whose first language is not English require a minimum score of IELTS 7.0 or equivalent including 6.0 in writing, and 5.5 in all other sub-skills
TOEFL iBT - 100 overall (with a minimum of 17 in listening, 18 in reading, 20 in speaking, and 20 in Writing)
