Mechatronics, with its interdisciplinary focus, opens doors to diverse career paths across multiple sectors including automotive, cutting-edge manufacturing, robotics and automation, nanotechnology, systems integration, aerospace, biomedical engineering, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and sustainable energy solutions.
As a field that merges multiple engineering disciplines through systems engineering principles, mechatronics forms the foundation of our MSc Mechatronic Systems Engineering program. This methodology equips graduates to excel in industries that depend on intelligent technologies across international markets.

We normally require a second class honours degree 2-2 or above in computer science science or engineering
We also encourage applications from experienced engineers or graduates from wider engineering disciplines
Candidates with other degrees are welcome to apply provided they can demonstrate appropriate levels of relevant experience
Candidates without formal qualifications need to demonstrate relevant work experience and the ability to study at postgraduate level
You must have competence in English language to study with us The most commonly accepted evidence of English language ability is IELTS 6.5 with minimum 6.0 in all components We also normally require Grade C GCSE or an equivalent qualification
