This preparatory year equips you with essential academic capabilities including written and verbal communication, mathematical foundations, and scientific principles and laboratory techniques (subject to Covid-19 restrictions).
This comprehensive program covers the entire spectrum of sports science disciplines, providing in-depth understanding of research methodologies across diverse fields from sports psychology to human biomechanics.
Upon completion, you'll possess the critical competencies needed to excel in the sports and fitness sector, preparing you for various professional roles. Career opportunities include working with elite athletes to enhance performance or assisting individuals at all fitness levels with health maintenance. Potential career paths include: Sports Nutritionist, Fitness Coach/Personal Trainer, Clinical Exercise Specialist, Public Health Advisor, University Lecturer, Athletic Performance Analyst, Community Sports Manager, Sports Psychologist, Sports Program Coordinator, or Athletic Conditioning Specialist.
Program duration: 1 year foundation plus 3 years degree study (full-time).
