The Foundation Year in Law and Social Sciences serves as an introductory pathway for students aiming to pursue degrees in law, politics, criminology, or sociology but who currently don't meet the standard entry criteria. This program is structured as a four-year journey, beginning with a foundational year that prepares students for advanced study. Upon successful completion of this initial year, students transition directly into our three-year undergraduate programs in these disciplines. The progression rate to degree studies is exceptionally strong, with many foundation year students emerging as top-performing graduates.
This Foundation Year is ideal if:
you lack the necessary qualifications for direct degree entry
you need additional preparation before tackling degree-level coursework
you're returning to education and want to refresh your academic skills before starting a degree program.
Program duration: 1 year foundation + 3 years degree (full-time)
