The Foundation Year in Law and Social Sciences serves as an introductory pathway to degrees in law, politics, criminology, or sociology for students who currently don't meet standard entry criteria. This program follows a four-year structure, incorporating a preparatory foundation year. Upon successful completion, students advance directly into one of our three-year undergraduate programs in these disciplines. Transition rates to degree programs are exceptionally strong, with many foundation students developing into our top-performing alumni.
This Foundation Year may be ideal for you if:
you lack the formal qualifications required for direct degree entry
you need additional academic preparation before starting undergraduate studies
you're returning to education and want to refresh your learning skills before degree-level work.
Program duration: 1 year foundation + 3 years degree study (full-time)
