The Media Foundation Year serves as an entry pathway to a media degree for students who currently don't meet the standard admission criteria. You'll enroll in a four-year program that incorporates this preparatory year. Upon successful completion, you'll advance directly to one of our three-year media degree programs. Most students successfully transition to degree-level studies, with many becoming our most accomplished alumni.
Our experienced faculty and industry professionals who teach degree courses also deliver the Foundation Year curriculum. Learning occurs through digital seminars, webinars, lectures, and collaborative student engagement.
We emphasize collaborative digital tools for media creation, using thoughtfully designed creative and academic content as our primary teaching method.
This program helps cultivate versatile skills in media, communication, and analytical thinking. Student collaboration forms the foundation of our online education approach across all programs.
The Foundation Year is ideal if:
you lack traditional qualifications for direct degree entry
you're not yet prepared for university-level coursework
you need to build technical skills and confidence
you're returning to education and want to refresh your learning abilities before starting a degree.
Program duration: 1 year foundation plus 3 years degree study.
