The Media Foundation Year serves as an introductory pathway to a media degree for students who currently don't meet the standard entry criteria. This four-year program begins with a foundational year, after which successful students advance directly into our three-year media degree options. The transition rate to degree programs is exceptionally strong, with many foundation students emerging as top-performing graduates.
The Foundation Year is ideal if:
you lack the formal qualifications for direct degree entry
you need additional preparation before starting degree-level work
you want to build technical skills and confidence in media-related subjects
you're returning to education and need support adjusting to academic demands
Our experienced degree instructors and industry professionals teach the Media Foundation Year. Learning occurs through digital seminars, webinars, lectures, and collaborative student projects.
We emphasize collaborative digital tools for media creation, delivering carefully designed creative and academic content.
This program helps develop versatile skills in media, communication, and analytical thinking. Our online learning model prioritizes peer interaction across all courses.
