Delving into the study of blood, its properties, and related conditions, along with transfusion practices, extends well past lab work.
Our MSc Haematology and Transfusion Science program equips you with advanced theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills for research or clinical applications.
Begin with a comprehensive foundation in biomedical subjects, covering analytical methods and human diseases. Then explore specialized modules examining blood cell biology, hematologic disorders, blood group systems, transfusion techniques, and immune-related aspects of blood. This prepares you for an independent master's research project on topics of your choice.
Available as a one-year full-time or three-year part-time option, this degree creates opportunities across various paths - whether advancing in hospital labs, pursuing research, continuing education, or transitioning into teaching or leadership roles.
Accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS), our program delivers high-quality, research-driven education that develops sought-after practical competencies. Note: While IBMS-accredited, this MSc doesn't meet Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration requirements or include the IBMS Registration Training Portfolio. For HCPC registration details, consult the IBMS website.
