Social work centers on advancing human rights, fostering social justice, and safeguarding individuals and families. This field drives transformation by collaborating with people, families, and communities during times of crisis and hardship. Our intensive two-year master's program prepares graduates from other disciplines for professional social work registration. As a certified social worker, you'll join multidisciplinary teams across healthcare and social services, cooperating with organizations ranging from law enforcement to housing providers. While frequently encountering complex scenarios, you'll empower meaningful improvements in people's lives. The curriculum explores societal welfare systems, psychological and social influences on wellbeing, legal protections for vulnerable populations, and professional ethics. Since the impact of social work becomes truly apparent through hands-on experience, the program includes practical placements each year. Upon completion, graduates qualify to register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) to begin their social work careers.
