This program serves as an entry pathway for qualified Nursing Associates to join our current BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing degree students. Our curriculum is built upon the fundamental principles of the NHS constitution, ensuring you grasp the essentials of patient care and support. We strive to equip you for potential professional challenges while cultivating the specialized skills needed to emerge as a nursing leader. Fifty percent of this program involves clinical rotations or simulated practice across diverse environments, potentially including operating rooms, emergency departments, community health clinics, ICUs, outpatient facilities, or residential care homes. During campus sessions, you'll hone clinical competencies like emergency response techniques in our advanced Simulation Suite. Beyond hands-on training, coursework examines critical subjects such as health disparities related to socioeconomic status, healthcare leadership strategies, and ethical considerations in modern nursing practice. Applicants must articulate in their personal statements a comprehensive understanding of UK adult nursing, including NHS core values and current nursing challenges. Demonstrated awareness of professional nursing attributes is essential for interview consideration. Qualified candidates will participate in a virtual group interview session. Career opportunities Upon completion, you'll earn a Bachelor of Science degree with NMC registration eligibility as an adult nurse. Graduates may join NHS trusts where they trained, or pursue roles in private/voluntary sectors. Alumni frequently secure staff nurse positions in UK hospitals, progressing to ward leadership or specialty roles, though opportunities also exist in general practice, educational institutions, correctional facilities, or military healthcare. Specialization through postgraduate study remains an option, with various advanced programs available for professional growth.
