Our BEng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering equips you with specialized knowledge and skills for a professional career in this field. Through project-based learning across all years, including real-world industry projects, you'll gain valuable transferable skills and multidisciplinary awareness that employers highly value. You can complete this program in three years or opt for an additional industrial placement year. Either path prepares you with the essential competencies to launch your engineering career. This program holds accreditation from the Institution of Engineering and Technology (on behalf of the Engineering Council), fully meeting requirements for Incorporated Engineer status and partially fulfilling Chartered Engineer qualifications. A Foundation Year option is also available.

UCAS tariff points
GCE A levels - grades BCC or equivalent, and to include minimum grade D in at least one of Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Mathematics and Statistics or Pure Mathematics
Pearson BTEC National Extended Diploma or OCR Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma - grade DMM in Engineering to include a Pass in Calculus to Solve Engineering Problems
Access to HE Diploma - Pass overall in Engineering or Science with a minimum 106 UCAS Tariff points
EAL Level 3 Technical Extended Diploma in Engineering Technologies - minimum overall grade of Distinction and to include a pass in both Engineering Mathematics and Further Engineering Mathematics 
IB Diploma - Pass overall with a minimum overall score of 26 or minimum 104 UCAS Tariff points from three Higher Level subjects, to include HL Mathematics in either: Analysis and Approaches or Applications and Interpretation
T level - Overall grade Merit in Design and Development for Engineering; Engineering, Manufacturing, Process and Control; or Maintenance, Installation and Repair for Engineering and Manufacturing
A maximum of three A level-equivalent qualifications will be accepted towards meeting the UCAS tariff requirement. 
AS levels, or qualifications equivalent to AS level, are not accepted. The Extended Project qualification (EPQ) may be accepted towards entry, in conjunction with two A level-equivalent qualifications.
