During our three-year program, you'll acquire essential teaching skills, including methods for instructing reading, writing, math, and science, creative approaches across all subjects, and techniques for designing effective learning plans that enhance student development.
You'll also build robust research abilities, learning to analyze current educational studies and apply them to your teaching practices. This enables you to use research to inform classroom instruction, innovate in classroom management, and address potential challenges.
Key topics you'll study include child development and learning processes, the impact of students' backgrounds on education, foundational teaching theories, and strategies for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Additionally, you'll reflect on your own experiences to shape your evolving identity as an educator.
Each year includes school placements, providing hands-on experience teaching children aged 3 to 11, preparing you to educate students from Early Years through Key Stage Two upon graduation.
