For students who show promise for degree-level studies but fall short of admission criteria, a foundation year serves as a stepping stone – preparing you for entry into the first year of your degree.
The coursework is tailored to boost your academic abilities and get you up to pace for your degree program. Alongside Academic Practice modules that enhance your university-level study techniques, you'll complete three humanities courses.
After successfully completing your foundation year, you'll advance directly to Year 1 of your chosen honors degree program.

If French or Spanish is the language to be studied, and the language has been studied at A level, a Grade C or above (or acceptable equivalent) will be required. French and Spanish can also be studied from Beginners level.
All other languages are studied from Beginners level.
INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE POINTS
IB Diploma with minimum 24 points overall or 72-80 UCAS Tariff points from Higher Level. If you plan to meet the Level 2 course requirements through your IB Diploma you will need to achieve Higher Level 4 or Standard Level 5 in English
