Founded in 1959, our Ergonomics and Human Factors program enhances your expertise in this discipline across various industries, exploring optimal ways to align people's needs with their activities, tools, and surroundings.
You'll implement foundational theories, research data, and methodologies to create designs that prioritize human wellness and system efficiency. Additionally, you can choose to specialize in one of these focused areas: inclusive design human factors, transportation human factors, patient safety ergonomics, or healthcare and community ergonomics.
Learn from globally renowned faculty, industry leaders, and subject matter experts who will prepare you to meet top professional benchmarks. The program has featured guest lectures by professionals from Humanscale, EDF Energy, Rolls Royce, and AMEC, alongside specialists in occupational safety, aerospace safety, public health, medical practitioners, and visiting professors from other institutions.
Alongside the full-time MSc degree (comprising 8 courses and a thesis), we also offer a Postgraduate Diploma (8 courses) and Postgraduate Certificate (4 courses). All options are available for both full-time and part-time study to accommodate student needs.
Our diverse student body has included graduates from various fields such as product design, medical sciences, exercise physiology, movement studies, rehabilitation therapy, physical therapy, behavioral science, and multiple engineering disciplines.
