Our MSc in Musculoskeletal Sport Science and Health equips you with an understanding of the scientific principles and methodologies behind musculoskeletal function, assessment, injuries, and therapies in sports and exercise contexts.
This program encourages a multidisciplinary perspective on studying musculoskeletal health and athletic performance, incorporating fields like anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, bioengineering, and movement science.
You'll have the chance to conduct thorough, analytical research in specialized areas. Previous student projects have explored diverse topics such as: biomechanical analysis of athletic movements, computational modeling of muscle forces, exercise effects on bone health in aging populations, epidemiological studies of sports injury risk factors, muscle adaptation mechanisms, therapeutic applications of extracellular vesicles, and strength training for performance enhancement, injury prevention, and recovery.
