Loughburgh has offered postgraduate construction education longer than any other UK university. Students can benefit from the extensive knowledge and heritage accumulated over the School's distinguished history.
Our MSc in Construction Project Management equips students with comprehensive technical skills for project leadership. The program provides fundamental project management competencies alongside a complete understanding of construction processes and the complexities of managing large-scale building and infrastructure developments.
The School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering holds recognition as one of only four Royal Academy of Engineering Centres of Excellence in Sustainable Building Design, and receives among the highest research funding in the built environment field from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).
The School is home to the National Facility for Infrastructure Construction (N-FIC), supported by the UK Collaboratorium for Research in Infrastructure & Cities (UKCRIC). We also host the Building and Industrial Services Pipework Academy (BISPA), a partnership with global steel producer Tata Steel and the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE). This comprehensive approach to construction education uniquely positions us to prepare graduates for the evolving needs of the industry.
