Our Bachelor of Science in Sociology program equips students with theoretical frameworks and methodological tools to examine how personal identities, actions, and life experiences are influenced by societal mechanisms that perpetuate exclusion and inequality in contemporary life. This program trains you to investigate fundamental social inquiries, including: What drives societal transformation? How do these shifts connect to global integration, population movements, evolving gender dynamics, changing religious perspectives, digital advancements, activist movements, and economic/cultural evolution? In what ways do sociological theories illuminate intricate systems like power distribution in communities? How do varying interpretations of power manifest in different cultures, governance approaches, and relationship regulations? What techniques allow us to examine social frameworks, collective beliefs, and personal narratives? How do diverse research methodologies reveal distinct facets of social existence - from connections between socioeconomic status and academic access to the psychological impacts of digital platforms? Throughout the BSc Sociology curriculum, you'll thoroughly investigate numerous social aspects including gender dynamics, class structures and disparities, racial issues, consumer behavior, public health, and digital innovations. You'll cultivate comprehensive knowledge of human societies by studying both foundational and modern sociological theories while gaining hands-on experience with research techniques ranging from quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to visual analysis and digital ethnography.
