This distinguished program enables students to examine and assess intricate issues through three fundamental academic lenses. Our Politics, Philosophy, and Economics curriculum develops essential competencies for various prestigious professions.
Global society confronts many multifaceted challenges. The BA (Hons) in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE) prepares students with the analytical frameworks and capabilities needed to comprehend and address these issues. By integrating knowledge from three crucial disciplines - Politics, Philosophy, and Economics - this program equips learners with the ability to interpret complicated scenarios, assess potential solutions, and articulate their viewpoints effectively through well-reasoned arguments.
The PPE program is structured to empower students in directing their educational journey. Foundational first-year courses establish core competencies in each discipline: Political Science, Philosophy, and Economics. Greater flexibility in second and third-year modules allows for specialization in preferred areas. Advanced interdisciplinary courses challenge students to combine methodologies from these three fields to develop solutions for current global issues. A capstone dissertation project enables independent investigation of a chosen subject. Exceptional internship possibilities and international exchange programs associated with this degree offer further avenues for academic growth and career preparation.
Our PPE program leverages Loughborough's academic excellence in both research and instruction.
