Our BA (Hons) in Industrial Design provides comprehensive training for designing physical products and devices, with emphasis on form, user interaction, CMF (colors, materials, finishes), and manufacturing within professional design contexts. The program cultivates specialized expertise in conceptualizing, developing, and presenting ideas, interactions, and user experiences. It concentrates on 3D design, product aesthetics, user studies, CMF applications, production techniques, and creating prototypes and final products. The curriculum highlights how users engage with products, requiring students to incorporate branding principles, future forecasting, and sustainable circular economy approaches into product-service system designs. While sharing foundational elements with the broader Design BA program, this course differs by immersing students exclusively in Industrial Design from the outset, rather than offering specialization options in later years. Ideal for those committed to Industrial Design, it fosters advanced skills in shaping the visual and functional qualities of modern and future manufactured goods.
