This BA (Hons) History degree covers the period from 1600 to today, with a strong emphasis on contemporary history. While focusing on Britain and continental Europe, the curriculum also explores North America, the British Empire, Soviet Russia, South Asia, Australia, and China. The program starts with comprehensive overviews, progresses to focused national and thematic studies, and concludes with specialized research projects. Students also have the option to incorporate foreign language studies into their History degree.
