For those enthusiastic about tackling present and future challenges in urban, suburban, and rural communities, and who aspire to influence the development of our built and natural landscapes while studying planning in one of the world's most dynamic cities, the MA or PG Diploma in Town and Country Planning offers the perfect solution. These programs emphasize the relationship between communities and their surroundings, exploring how to promote exceptional developments in appropriate locations.
At LSBU, we train the next generation of British urban planners with a strong emphasis on the UK planning framework, while incorporating global viewpoints to offer valuable comparative insights.
The MA program holds full accreditation from the RTPI. The PgDip achieves full accreditation when pursued after completing the BA in Urban and Environmental Planning. With two years of relevant professional experience (including at least one year as a registered licentiate), you become eligible to take the RTPI Assessment of Professional Competence to attain chartered membership status.
Our faculty members specialize in diverse planning disciplines and maintain active research profiles, contributing to significant national and international research initiatives, collaborations, and publications.
Full-time PgDip duration: 1 year starting September
