While doctors and nurses are vital, hospitals and healthcare facilities rely on other essential professionals like Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs). This program is designed for those who want to join this critical team supporting patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
ODPs provide continuous patient care across various healthcare environments. You'll develop professional skills through classroom learning and hands-on training at our partner hospitals during clinical placements.
Our specialized curriculum and practical work experience prepare graduates for promising career opportunities, including eligibility for HCPC registration as a certified ODP.

A Level BBC or,
BTEC National Diploma DMM or,
Access to HE qualifications in Nursing or similar with 15 Distinctions and 30 Merits or,
Equivalent level 3 qualifications worth 112 UCAS points
Applicants must hold 5 GCSEs A-C including Maths, Science and English or equivalent (reformed GCSEs grade 4 or above).
If your first language is not English you must have the following minimum International English Language Test Score (IELTS) results at the time of applying:
7.0 overall or equivalent
7.0 in the listening and reading sections
7.0 in the writing and speaking sections.
