As a criminology student at LSBU, you'll have opportunities to participate in various career-focused activities. Our criminology programs prepare graduates for diverse professional fields such as probation services, law enforcement, corrections, NGOs, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, youth justice teams, education, social services, and administrative roles.
The program maintains strong connections with LSBU's Crime and Justice Research Group, which hosts regular academic seminars and community events. We actively encourage student involvement in these activities to enrich your education and facilitate networking with experts, professionals, and activists in the field.
Those following the sustainability track will gain understanding of how environmental, social, and economic systems interconnect across local and global contexts. You'll develop strategic thinking skills to analyze fundamental causes of unsustainable practices spanning ecological, societal, and financial dimensions.
Throughout this program, you'll examine pressing contemporary issues by analyzing the dynamic relationships between government institutions, offenders, victims, and the broader community. The curriculum fosters critical analysis of legislative processes and how societal frameworks influence both criminal behavior and justice system responses.
