A PhD program focuses entirely on research. Every doctoral project involves creating your own unique research initiative, carried out under the mentorship of at least two faculty supervisors who specialize in your field of study.
You can undertake PhD research in any subject area offered by the University, provided there's appropriate academic support for your proposed work. Interdisciplinary research projects are encouraged. The University offers a structured support system for research students, with close supervision and regular progress reviews. London Met also provides the option to complete your PhD through distance learning.

a good honours degree from a UK university or equivalent (first or upper-second class), although applicants will usually tend to have obtained a master's degree before entry
