A PhD program focuses entirely on research. Each doctoral project represents the distinct evolution of your personal research initiative, carried out under the supervision of at least two faculty advisors specializing in your field of study.
You can undertake PhD research in any discipline offered by the University where appropriate supervisory expertise exists. Interdisciplinary projects are encouraged. The University offers a structured support system for research students, with close supervision and regular progress assessments. Distance learning options for PhD studies are also available through London Met.
Earning a PhD involves creating novel contributions to your field. This demands comprehensive understanding of existing literature, strong analytical abilities to evaluate research findings, along with self-discipline and significant time commitment.
While this degree doesn't include formal coursework, you'll receive research methodology training and can enroll in relevant master's level courses to support your investigation.
