A Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree is entirely research-based. Each MPhil program centers around your unique research initiative, supervised by at least two faculty members specializing in your chosen field.
You can pursue an MPhil in any research domain offered by the university, provided we have appropriate academic expertise to guide your work. We actively encourage interdisciplinary research projects. At London Met, we offer a structured research environment with close supervision and regular progress assessments. Distance learning options are also available for our MPhil programs.
Earning an MPhil involves developing specialized knowledge in your subject, critically evaluating existing literature related to your research question, and conducting original research using appropriate methodologies.
Successful MPhil candidates must demonstrate comprehensive understanding of current research in their discipline, strong analytical capabilities to evaluate scholarly work, and the dedication to work autonomously while committing the necessary time to complete this demanding program.
