Our Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Sciences (with foundation year) investigates contemporary uses of mathematics across various fields such as finance, coding, project leadership, and data analysis.
This four-year undergraduate program is ideal if you lack conventional academic credentials or don't meet the entry criteria for our standard three-year degree. It incorporates a foundational year that helps develop essential mathematical competencies and their practical implementations, including computing fundamentals, to prepare you for higher-level studies.

In addition to the University's standard entry requirements, you should have:
at least one A level (or a minimum of 32 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification, eg BTEC Subsidiary/National/BTEC Extended Diploma)
English Language and Mathematics GCSE at grade C/grade 4 or above (or equivalent, eg Functional Skills at Level 2) if you meet UCAS points criteria but obtained a grade D/3 in English and/or Maths at GCSE you may be offered a University test in these areas
If you feel your qualifications or experience exceed the entry requirements listed above, you may be able to enter directly onto our Mathematical Sciences BSc (Hons).
