In this captivating Forensic Science degree program, you'll enhance your analytical abilities through practical problem-solving activities and laboratory experiments. You'll explore contemporary applications of bio-analysis, including toxicology, narcotics examination, fingerprint identification, and genetic profiling. This program trains competent forensic experts capable of objectively analyzing crime scenes and presenting evidence effectively in legal settings.

The curriculum equips you to address the increasing need for analytical specialists by teaching you to solve real-world forensic challenges. You'll establish fundamental knowledge in core scientific disciplines essential to forensic work, such as chemical analysis, cellular biology, and hereditary science.

You'll perform various biochemical and criminal investigation techniques with precision and safety, while applying your knowledge during practical sessions in our state-of-the-art £30 million Science Center. Your training will involve analyzing blood spatter, examining crime locations, classifying weapons, and tracking evidentiary materials.

Regular coursework will be supplemented by expert-led seminars featuring professionals from diverse forensic specialties. These sessions provide not only industry-relevant knowledge but also valuable networking opportunities with future employers, peers, and professional guides.

Qualification Requirements

you should have:

a minimum of 112 points from A levels including a C in Biology or Human Biology (or a minimum of 112 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification, eg BTEC Extended Diploma in Applied Science with MMM)
English Language and Mathematics GCSEs at grade C/grade 4 or above (or equivalent)
If you dont have traditional qualifications or cant meet the entry requirements for this undergraduate degree, you may still be able to gain entry by completing our Forensic Science (including foundation year BSc (Hons).

Entry from other appropriate foundation/access courses will also be considered
