This program serves as the culminating year (Level 6) of our Textiles BA (Hons) degree, designed for students holding a foundation degree, Higher National Diploma, or equivalent qualification who wish to complete their undergraduate studies in London.
In the Textiles (Top-up) BA program, you'll develop technical expertise across various disciplines including interior textile design, fashion textiles, and accessory creation. You'll have the chance to create comprehensive textile collections, experiment with surface techniques, design garments, and present your work in professional exhibitions.
This intensive final year of study focuses on preparing you for the professional world of textiles, helping you build confidence in your unique creative identity through our fast-paced curriculum.
We'll enhance your current abilities while focusing on effective idea communication, professional presentation skills, and expanding your awareness of the global design landscape. Through collaborations with industry leaders like WGSN trend forecasters, Fred Perry, and Parker Knoll, you'll refine your design perspective before undertaking your self-directed final project.

240 credits from a relevant Higher National Diploma (HND), Foundation Degree (FdA/FdSc) or equivalent international qualification in a relevant subject
240 credits from years 1 and 2 of an undergraduate degree (BA/BSc) in a relevant subject at a different institution
a portfolio interview
We encourage applications from international/EU students with equivalent qualifications. We also accept mature students with diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Your portfolio should be selective, but have enough work to show a range of your interests and talents. We are interested in seeing how you develop a project from beginning to end, not only finished work.
If you cannot bring certain pieces of your work to your portfolio interview, please take photographs and include them.
