Our Illustration and Animation (with preparatory semester) BA (Hons) begins with an immersive semester focused on core illustration fundamentals. This initial phase equips you with essential skills and techniques for the remainder of your degree program.

Your creative projects can cross various disciplines, offering opportunities to explore diverse artistic mediums. As you progress, you'll develop a distinctive personal style while building confidence in your creative abilities.

This three-year program commences in September. After completing the preparatory semester, you'll join the standard course students in January. Your first year will comprise three semesters, including summer study between Years 1 and 2. The following two years mirror the schedule and curriculum of the standard Illustration and Animation BA (Hons) program.

While this pathway may save time and costs compared to a four-year foundation degree, please note you'll need to account for the extra semester in your first year when planning your budget.
