Our Graphic Design (with foundation year) program is a four-year journey featuring an initial foundation year that lets you explore various art disciplines before specializing in graphic design during later stages.
This graphic design pathway is ideal if you don't meet the entry criteria for a traditional three-year undergraduate degree in the field.
Your foundation year begins with diverse studio and workshop projects, helping you build fundamental skills applicable across all our foundation programs. As the year progresses, you'll transition to projects with a stronger graphic design focus.
Through these workshops, you'll experiment with numerous drawing methods, color theory, materials, creative processes, collage techniques, exhibition practices, and beyond.
This preparatory year encourages artistic experimentation across multiple mediums, thoroughly preparing you for undergraduate graphic design studies. As the year concludes, you'll undertake projects designed to enhance your creative confidence and independence, fostering self-motivation and innovation. The curriculum also includes lectures and seminars examining creative practice through historical, contemporary, conceptual, and cultural lenses.
You'll have numerous opportunities to present your work to peers and instructors, culminating in an end-of-year summer exhibition showcasing your best projects. These experiences provide valuable feedback and diverse perspectives to support your growth as a graphic designer.
