Become a Registered Child Nurse while continuing your current employment through LJMU's BSc (Hons) Child Nursing Apprenticeship program. This course prepares you to provide specialized care for children, adolescents, and their families in diverse healthcare environments including hospitals, clinics, and home settings. The BSc (Hons) Nursing (Child) apprenticeship equips you with the essential competencies, practical experience, and professional confidence to excel in healthcare while maintaining your work commitments. This intensive 37-month full-time program combines two weekly theory sessions with six concentrated theory blocks annually. Your learning occurs both in your workplace and through supplementary supervised placements where you'll train with supernumerary status. These varied experiences will develop your expertise in evaluating, strategizing, implementing, and reviewing patient care requirements. Each academic year includes five assessments: one per theory module plus a practice module evaluation. You'll demonstrate your knowledge through diverse assessment formats including presentations, written assignments, professional discussions, examinations, and clinical practice evaluations. This multifaceted approach ensures comprehensive skill development. A minimum of two GCSE's which must include Maths and English at grade C (level 4-9) or above OR level 2 Equivalency in Numeracy and Literacy. IELTS Online (Academic) Grade required (Minimum standards – courses may vary): 6.0 Overall with 5.5 in each component. TOEFL IBT: Grade required (Minimum standards – courses may vary): 78 Overall with R18, W17, L17, S20.
