The BA (Hons) History program at Liverpool John Moores University draws directly from world-class, innovative research to shape its teaching approach.
No previous history background is required - if you're naturally curious and passionate about exploring the past, this course offers engaging discussions while introducing you to political, economic, intellectual, and cultural history across Britain, Ireland, Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Eastern Asia. You'll also have the chance to concentrate on historical periods or themes that particularly interest you.
The program includes vibrant social opportunities, with various student societies to join and experiential learning components. The Level 5 International Fieldwork module takes students to European destinations to examine how different cultures present history in museums. Additional modules feature visits to historical sites across Merseyside and other locations.
