Explore how living beings interact with one another and their surroundings while examining humanity's influence through engaging field and laboratory modules.
Our four-year MSci Hons integrated Master's program features a ten-week professional placement and offers comprehensive training in ecological concepts and applications. Through lectures, hands-on sessions, fieldwork, and tutorials led by distinguished researchers, you'll develop both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in species study and ecosystem conservation.
The degree includes diverse fieldwork experiences, including an expedition to Spain's Doñana National Park, habitat to rare species like the Iberian Lynx. Alternatively, choose the Eden Project module to study habitat restoration in Cornwall while developing field techniques. Other opportunities include observing wildlife in Scotland's pristine landscapes or joining a research expedition in Kenya's Rift Valley to assess conservation challenges amid human development.
