Modern accounting has become more intricate and internationally focused. The MSc Accounting and Finance course delivers cutting-edge education in accounting and financial management, serving as an ideal springboard for careers in accounting, investment banking, or financial analysis.
In this program, students who achieve required grades in their first term can prepare for and take the CFA Level 1 exam while studying. Graduates will also receive ACCA exemptions for most Fundamental level papers based on second-term module selections, along with 11 CIMA CGMA qualification exemptions.
The curriculum combines theoretical knowledge with practical application, employing real-world case studies to strengthen competencies. Students explore financial reporting fundamentals and core finance concepts, with optional modules including financial statement evaluation, advanced managerial accounting, or sophisticated investment strategies. To bridge industry skill shortages and boost employability, the program offers training in sought-after abilities like data analytics and coding (using Python, R, Stata, MATLAB, and SAS), plus hands-on experience with professional data platforms like Bloomberg and FactSet.
